Panthumai

Panthumai is an amazingly beautiful village beside Meghalaya on the Bangladesh-India border. It is a village in West Jaflong Union under Gowainghat Upazila in Sylhet District. This village is one of the most beautiful villages in Bangladesh. Next to this village is located a wide waterfall which is locally called "Fatachorir Zorna" another name is Borohil Zorna is known to all as Panthumai Waterfall.  Although the waterfall comes from Indian hills, it can be seen from a distance by standing on the banks of the river Piain. A BSF camp is located there. It is bordered by two countries with rows of plum trees. There is no BGB stool. So it is dangerous to go near the border. Tourists have to rent a boat to enjoy the beauty of Panthumai.  In winter there is hardly any water in this fountain. The best is to come in the rainy season to see the genuine beauty of this fountain. Monsoon and in the next two months of monsoon the spring gets back to its life.
